Athens Georgia photographer, Terry Allen, picked up a camera and started photographing sorority girls and rock and roll bands while attending University of Georgia and decided to let his accounting degree rest for a while. Thirty years later, his camera has taken him all over the globe from humanitarian assignments with Sally Struthers in Africa to outdoor sporting jaunts with bird hunters in Scotland and Ireland. In the 80’s, Allen managed rock band Dreams So Real and did photographic work for almost every major record label and music magazine including Columbia, Arista, Electra, and Warner Brothers, Spin and Rolling Stone. Currently, Allen does work for a wide variety of lifestyle and sporting publications and many corporate clients as well. In 07, he completed a 800 page coffee table book on LC Smith shotguns and music hall of fame band REM used one of his images as their latest album cover. His wife wants to mention that he had some shots in Southern Living and his mother would like to add that “Terry’s pictures are very clear!”
